AGREEMENT ENDS NATION-WIDE COAL STRIKE
Cleveland, Ohio (JFK+50) On August 15, 1922, the nation-wide soft coal strike came to an end with an agreement here in Cleveland between operators and miners.
The settlement, concluded at 3:10 p.m., was approved unanimously.
The Evening Star reports that the agreement "will result in a general acceptance of their terms throughout the coal mining industry."
