EXCAVATIONS REVEAL ETHIOPIANS INVENTED THEIR OWN SCRIPT
Cambridge, Massachusetts (JFK+50) On April 1, 1923, the Sunday Star reports "the history of the ancient Kingdom of Ethiopia*...from 750 BC to 350 AD-has been completed in principal outline by excavations in tombs in the Anglo-Egyptian Soudan."
These excavations were under the direction of the Harvard-Boston expedition led by Professor George A. Reisner**.
Dr. Reisner's report states that the Ethiopians invented their own script and were, therefore, "people of genius."
*Aethiopia, a.k.a. Ancient Ethiopia, was first mentioned in the works of Homer, twice in the Iliad & three times in the Odyssey. Herodotus refers to its location in the sub-Saharan region of Africa.
**Dr. George Andrew Reisner, Jr. (1867-1942) was born in Indianapolis, Indiana & earned his BA, MA & PhD at Harvard University. GAR was an archaeologist specializing in studies of Ancient Egypt, Nubia & Palestine.
