SHRINERS POUR INTO NATION'S CAPITAL FOR CONVENTION
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On Sunday, June 3, 1923, "Washington's greatest convention" was "formally inaugurated...when the Ancient Arabic Order, Nobles of the Mystic Shrine" began its 49th annual conclave of its Imperial Council.
300,000 persons are expected in the Nation's Capital by Tuesday. Shriners are coming "from every section of the United States."
The Conclave opened with Sunday prayers in the city's churches.
