"MOST POWERFUL MEANS OF CHEMICAL WARFARE EVER"

GERMANY HAS WAR GAS CAPABLE OF DEMOLISHING AN ENTIRE CITY

New York City (JFK+50) On June 11, 1923, Dr. Herman Beck, former chief of the German Bureau of War Inventions, said that "German chemists have produced a war gas capable of demolishing an entire city and blotting out every sign of life."

Dr. Beck said the gas, developed sometime toward the end of the world war, "is the most powerful chemical means of warfare ever invented."

Dr. Beck states the in the last years of the war, with Germany facing sure defeat, the decision was made "not to use the gas...for humanitarian reasons" and because its use would turn the world against Germany.

JFK+50 NOTE

Chemical warfare is the use of the toxic properties of chemical substances as weapons.  The type of weapons utilized include mortars, artillery shells, missiles, bombs & mines.
