AMERICAN TREE ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES MEMORIAL TREE PLANTING & DEDICATION PROGRAMS
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On Memorial Day, May 30, 1924, the American Tree Association issued a statement announcing that "memorial tree planting and dedication programs at those planted in former years was a feature of Memorial Day exercises" across the nation.
Forty Clara Barton memorial trees planted by members of the National First Aid Association were registered.
