SHOW THE VISION

December 9, 10 & 11, 2011

SHOW THE VISION

The 5th thing President Obama can learn from JFK according to Chris Matthew's recent Time Magazine article, is to show the vision.

Chris writes:

"We (Americans) like nothing more than going somewhere.  Kennedy knew this. 50 years later, he remains a pathfinder, a man who was going places & taking us along."

Mr. Matthews points to a recent poll of Americans which indicates most would add JFK to Mount Rushmore alongside Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln & Theodore Roosevelt.

Mr. Matthews believes President Obama "needs to give us purpose" just as President Kennedy did with nuclear arms control, the Peace Corps & the space program.

Chris says: "What is missing now is a spirit of adventure, of common purpose, a positive feeling....a sense of mission."

and adds:

"And yes, there is, the most important, most vital reason for Obama to be more like Kennedy:

He promised he would."
