PILGRIMS ARRIVE AT PLYMOUTH
Plymouth, Massachusetts (JFK+50) Saints & strangers from the English merchant ship Mayflower came ashore here at Plymouth today.
The group, made up of 102 men, women & children, include a number of separatists who have broken with the Church of England and wish to start life anew in America.

The Mayflower departed England on September 6 & on November 11 landed at Cape Cod where 41 male passengers signed an agreement known as the Mayflower Compact.
In signing the Compact, the men pledged themselves to submit to a government & agree to abide by the laws of the colony.
