TRICK OR TREAT IN THE OVAL OFFICE

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) Fifty-two years ago this evening, Halloween, October 31, 1963, President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy's children, Caroline and John F. Kennedy Jr. played "trick or treat" on their Daddy in the Oval Office at the White House.

The President obviously enjoyed the Halloween festivities with his children.

JFK SAYS PRESIDENCY PROVIDES HAPPINESS

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) Fifty-two years ago, October 31, 1963, John F. Kennedy gave his 63rd news conference as President of the United States at the State Department auditorium.

JFK was asked if he enjoyed being President.  He responded:

"I have given...the definition of happiness by the Greeks.  It is full use of your powers along lines of excellence.  I find....the presidency provides some happiness."
