"WHAT A DIFFERENCE 100 YEARS MAKES"

PRESIDENTIAL ADMINISTRATIONS BRIDGED FOR BEST INTERESTS OF THE COUNTRY

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) The gap in government between the Trump and Biden Administrations will be bridged.  President-elect Biden will call at the White House to pay his respects.  Conferences between members of the future Cabinet and the present executives of the Government departments will come.

Unfortunately, this is totally "fake news."  It should be what is happening as this is posted, but it isn't.  The opening paragraph is our corruption of David Lawrence*'s front page story in The Evening World of December 4, 1920.  He wrote...

"The gap in government between the Wilson and Harding Administrations will be bridged.  Senator Harding will call at the White House to pay his respects."

Mr. Lawrence continued....

"The response of Republican (and) Democratic editors to the suggestions of close co-operation between the outgoing and incoming Administrations for the best interests of the...country has been almost unanimously favorable."

What a difference one hundred years makes!
