"FILL VACANCY DUE TO C.L. MITCHELL'S RESIGNATION"

COLONEL ROOSEVELT OFFERED D.A.V. EXECUTIVE POST

Cincinnati, Ohio (JFK+50) On January 27. 1923, it was announced that Colonel Theodore Roosevelt, jr.*, assistant secretary of the navy, "will receive the offer of a post in the national executive committee of the Disabled American Veterans**." 

Mr. Roosevelt will fill the vacancy on the committee created by the resignation of C.L. Mitchell. 

*Theodore Roosevelt III (1887-1944) was born in Oyster Bay, NY the eldest son of Teddy Roosevelt & Edith Carow.  TRIII served as asst sec of navy 1921-1924 & gov of Puerto Rico 1929-1932.

**Disabled American Veterans, founded in 1920 by Robert Marx, provides assistance to disabled American veterans and their families.
