"WITH MUCH OF HIS LOOT & MEMORIES OF SOCIAL TRIUMPHS"

D.C. SWINDLER ON HIS WAY TO EUROPE

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On March 20, 1925, The Washington Times reports Thomas B. "Beau Brummel" Richards has been living "in a state of regal splendor" in an apartment here in the Nation's Capital for the past three weeks.

The alleged swindler has been living the life of "a rich, young bachelor" while employed as a salesman with the Flint Motor Company* of Washington.

Mr. Richards, it is reported, wrote a bogus check for a thousand dollars that led to his "skipping town."  He is on his way to Europe with "much of his loot and memories of gorgeous social triumphs."

*FMC was a subsidiary of Durant Motor Company out of Flint, Michigan, 1923-1927.
