MR. PRESIDENT, HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR JOB?
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On October 31, 1963, John F. Kennedy held his next to last news conference as President of the United States and was asked the following question...
"Mr. President,
(Now that) you have had a chance to appraise your job, why do you like it and why do you want four more years?"
Answer...
"I have given...the definition of happiness by the Greeks. It is full use of your powers along lines of excellence. I find...the presidency provides some happiness."
JFK+50 NOTE
Among those mentioned as to liking their job as POTUS include Theodore and Franklin Roosevelt, Dwight D. Eisenhower & JFK.
Among those mentioned as to disliking their job as POTUS include Thomas Jefferson, John Quincy Adams and Harry Truman.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2025
I learned online yesterday that Jacqueline Kennedy went trick or treating on a Halloween night as First Lady. She dressed up in a costume which covered up her entire body from head to toe & had a friend speak the words "Trick or Treat!"
Ms. Kennedy chose her former Washington, D.C. neighborhood, Georgetown. Apparently, no one at any of the houses knew who she was. If she had spoken, they probably could have guessed.
