"WISE TO INVEST IN CLIPPERS, RAZOR & BARBER SCHOOL"

FRENCH WOMEN LEARNING TO 'BOB' HAIR TO SAVE MONEY

Paris, France (JFK+50) On October 15, 1925, Associated Press reports that "the expense of keeping short hair trimmed neatly is so great that many (French) women are having some member of their family take a course in haircutting."

AP suggests that if you are in a family with a large number of females, it would be wise to invest in a set of clippers, a safety razor and "a short course" at barber school.

JFK+50 NOTE

Short hair, a.k.a. 'bobbed hair' or the 'bob cut' is a hair style, popular in the 1920s, where the hair is cut to jaw length and never longer than shoulder level.

In a documentary on Flappers, one lady said that many a mother was shocked when their daughters came home with bobbed hair.
