WHO WAS THE RICHEST OF OUR PRESIDENTS?

JFK+50:  Volume 6, No. 2026

IF DONALD TRUMP WINS HE WILL BE THE RICHEST PRESIDENT BY FAR

New York City (JFK+50) It should come as no surprise to anyone that should Donald J. Trump* be elected the 45th President of the United States this November, he would become, on January 20, 2017, the wealthiest man to ever hold the highest office in the land.

Mr. Trump's net worth is estimated to be $4.5 billion.  If Hillary Clinton defeats Trump, however, she would not become the wealthiest person to attain the presidency even though her net worth is $31.3 million.

So which of the 43 men who have served as POTUS would The Donald displace?**

Not one of the men whose net worth was less than a million dollars...Buchanan, Lincoln, Andrew Johnson, Grant, Garfield, Arthur, Wilson, Coolidge and Truman.

Not those who netted incomes from $1 to $5 million...Harding, McKinley, Pierce, Taft, Hayes, Fillmore, or Benjamin and William Henry Harrison.

Not those with net incomes of  $6 to $15 million...Taylor, Carter, Ford, Obama, Eisenhower, Polk, Reagan and Nixon.

And not even the Chief Executives with incomes from $19 to $27 million...George W. Bush, John Quincy Adams, GHW Bush, Cleveland, Van Buren and James Monroe.

So this brings us to the Top Ten presidential net incomes...Tyler, Bill Clinton, FDR, Hoover, LBJ, Madison, Jackson, Theodore Roosevelt, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington and number one....JOHN F. KENNEDY!

While JFK's ranking of $1 BILLION in net family income is based on potential inheritance from his father's estate, at the time of his death JFK's net worth was a mere $50 million.  But if we accept the $1 BILLION figure as President Kennedy's net worth, Donald Trump's would more than quadruple that.

The ranking of presidential net worth is based on the 2015 study by InsideGov which relied on the findings of 24/7 Wall Street.  The latter's work utilized historical records to value each president's assets and adjusted for inflation. Assets included land and property, income inheritance, and book royalties.

TRUMP TOWER VS THE WHITE HOUSE

Trump Tower in Chicago is valued at $847 million while The White House in Washington, D.C. is valued at $295 million.

TRUMP FORCE ONE VS AIR FORCE ONE

Donald Trump's Boeing 757-200 aircraft cost $100 million while Air Force One, there are actually two of them-Boeing 747-200Bs, cost $330 million each.

TRUMP'S LUXURY FLEET VS THE BEAST

Donald Trump owns a fleet of luxury cars which include Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini & Mercedes Benz while there are a dozen identical presidential limos, dubbed 'The Beast," all Cadillacs valued at $1.5 million each.

*Donald John Trump was born in New York City on June 14, 1946.  He graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania & assumed control of his father's real estate & construction firm in 1973. DJT is ranked as one of the Top 400 wealthiest billionaires in the world & is the 2016 Republican nominee for POTUS.

**Barack Obama is the 44th US President but only 43 men have served as Chief Executive.  The reason for this discrepancy is that Grover Cleveland served as 22nd POTUS was defeated but then elected again & became the 24th POTUS.
