5 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS HELD ON 5TH OF NOVEMBER
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) The month of November is notable for holding elections for the office of President of the United States. To date there have been a total of 5 presidential elections held on the 5th day of November.The first was the re-election of Ulysses S. Grant (Republican) in 1796 and the last was the re-election of William J. "Bill" Clinton (Democrat) in 1996. Following is the list of November 5th presidential elections and winners.

1996 Bill Clinton Democrat
Woodrow Wilson was re-elected in 1916 while FDR was elected to an unprecedented 3rd term in 1940 and 4th term in 1944. Richard Nixon was re-elected in 1972 although he resigned in 1974.
