JFK REPORTS TO NATION ON TRIP TO EUROPE

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On July 5, 1963, President John F. Kennedy reported to the nation on his trip to Europe.  The address, delivered from his desk in the Oval Office, was broadcast on radio and television.  The President arrived back in Washington on July 3rd.

 The President said...

"Today I can report an even deeper tie between the people of Europe and the people of the United States.   I heard expressions of confidence in the United States from leaders of Germany, England, Italy and Ireland and I felt the....affection that their people have for the people of the United States."
