"5TH FLOOR OF RITZ-CARLTON HOTEL SET ASIDE"

PRESIDENT & FIRST LADY TO SPEND LABOR DAY IN ATLANTIC CITY

Atlantic City, New Jersey (JFK+50) On September 4, 1921, it was announced that President Warren G. and Mrs. Harding will spend the Labor Day holiday here in Atlantic City.  The President and First Lady will be accompanied by Secretary of State Charles Evans Hughes.

The Presidential party will arrive on the yacht Mayflower and will be shuttled to shore by Submarine Chaser 27.

Also with the First Couple will be Senator James E. Watson of Indiana and Miss Abigail Harding*, the President's sister.

The party will be accommodated at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel with "the entire 5th floor" set aside for their use, and a "solid gold dinner set which has never been used" will be provided.

*Abigail Victoria "Daisy" Harding Lewis (1875-1935) was born in Caledonia, Ohio & became the wife of Marion, Ohio realtor R.T. Lewis.  She was a teacher in the Marion schools 1898-1823.
