"A GENERAL SURVEY OF INTERNATIONAL SITUATION"

HUGHES CALLS FOR MEETING OF THE CONFERENCE ON LIMITATION OF ARMAMENT

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On October 11, 1921, Secretary of State Charles Evans Hughes, head of the American delegation, called "tomorrow's meeting of the Conference on the Limitation of Armament."

The opening meeting of the conference will include the "making of a general survey of the international situation."

The New York Tribune reports that President Warren G. Harding "will take an active role in the preparatory stages and probably will participate directly in some of the meetings."

Other American participants in the conference are Elihu Root, former Secretary of State, and Senators Lodge and Underwood.
