HARDING & WATSON CELEBRATE BIRTHDAYS AT WHITE HOUSE
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On November 2, 1921, a joint birthday celebration was held at the White House in honor of President Warren G. Harding's 56th birthday and Senator James E. Watson*'s (R-Indiana) 57th.
The joint celebration continued a long-standing custom between the two politicians. They normally met at the border of Ohio and Indiana.

*James Eli Watson (1864-1948) was born in Winchester, Indiana & graduated from DePauw University, 1886. JEW served in U.S. House of Representatives 1895-97 & 1899-1909 & U.S. Senate 1916-1933. He was Senate Majority Leader 1929-1933.
