DAVID LYNN APPOINTED ARCHITECT OF THE CAPITOL
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On August 22, 1923, David Lynn* was appointed architect of the Capitol by President Calvin Coolidge. The Evening Star reports Mr. Lynn will likely take the oath of office this afternoon when the commission reaches him.
David Lynn has served as civil engineer of the Capitol for 23 years and was the right hand man for Elliott Woods, the former architect of the Capitol whose passing created the vacancy.
Mr. Lynn is a native of Cumberland, Maryland and now resides in the District of Columbia.
