"WHERE WILL WORLD END IF WOMEN NEVER DIE OFF?"

AUSTRIAN NEWSPAPER OPPOSES 'REJUVENATION' OF 'OLD WOMEN'

Vienna, Austria (JFK+50) On October 9, 1923, a newspaper here in Vienna "launched a...protest against Professor (Eugen) Steinach's* attempts to rejuvenate old women."

The Evening Star reports the reason behind the protest is that Austrian women now exceed men by 128% and German and Russian women exceed men of their respective nations by 40%.

The newspaper states that women are attempting to restore their "youthful good looks and vigor" by subjecting themselves to x-ray treatments.  The question posed is...

"where will the world end...if women never die off?"

*Eugen Steinach (1861-1944) was born in Austria & became a physiologist & pioneer in endocrinology.  The magazine Endocrinology describes ES as "the first neuroendocrinologist".  He was nominated several times for the Nobel Prize in Physiology.
