ORDERLY MISSING CLOTHES & $25 AT HANDS OF MARINE GUEST
Baltimore, Maryland (JFK+50) On March 5, 1924, The Evening Star reports Mr. Frederick L. Thomason, an orderly at Washington's Walter Reed Hospital, was robbed yesterday morning in his hotel room here in Baltimore of $25 and his clothing.
Mr. Thomason had invited a Marine he met on the street to visit with him at his hotel. During the visit, the orderly went to sleep and upon awakening found the Marine had left with Mr. Thomason's clothes and the money.
In place of the civilian clothes, the Marine had left his uniform. Mr. Thomason "donned" the uniform and proceeded to the detective bureau where he reported his loss.
