PAUL REVERE BELL REDEDICATED AT ALL SOULS CHURCH
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On June 30, 1924, the Evening Star reports that "the historic (Paul) Revere bell* was rededicated yesterday at services, at the All Souls Unitarian Church**, 16th and Harvard Streets."
The bell, which was seen by many visitors to the church yesterday afternoon, "was cast in the Paul Revere factory in Boston in 1822."
*Paul Revere's bell factory (1792-1828) located in Boston's North End produced 398 bells. They were used in churches, schools, and on ships.
**All Souls Church, founded in 1821 by John Quincy Adams, John C. Calhoun & other notables, has played a vital role in the Nation's Capital for two centuries.
