"CALVIN COOLIDGE & COMMON SENSE"

COOLIDGE CAMPAIGN HAS A NEW SLOGAN

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On August 15, 1924, G. Gould Lincoln, writing in The Evening Star, reports President Calvin Coolidge and his campaign managers "are preparing to capitalize on the 'common sense' of the American people for the benefit of the Republican party."

Mr. Coolidge committed to a common sense government in his presidential nomination acceptance speech last evening.  The President referred to common sense as America's greatest asset.

So the new Republican campaign slogan is...

 "Calvin Coolidge and Common Sense."
