GERMAN DOCTORS SAY LIPSTICK IN CONTACT WITH FOOD CAUSES INDIGESTION
Leipsic^, Germany (JFK+50) On October 16, 1924, the Associated Press reports "lipstick* indigestion has developed here among young women who use rouge** too freely."
Physicians "assert" that many cosmetics "contain harmful ingredients...which can cause complications when they come into contact with food."
Victims, according to the AP, tend to blame their indigestion strictly on food until they suffer "three or four severe seizures" after dining.
