'TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY"

SENATORS LOSE GAME ONE, BUT HARRIS SAYS 'WE...WILL..WIN THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP'

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On October 5, 1924, the Associated Press reports Washington manager Stanley Harris said yesterday "Tomorrow is another day" after losing the first game of the 1924 World Series by one run.

Despite the loss, Harris argued...

"We have a better team & will go on to win the world championship."

JFK+50 NOTE

The Senators (Nationals) lost game one of the 1924 World Series 3-4 to the New York Giants (10-4-24) but, just as Harris predicted, went on to win the series in the 7th and final game (10-10-24) in 12 innings.

Future Hall of Famer, Walter Johnson, was the winning pitcher & the game ended on a "bad hop" resulting in the Washington victory.  Destiny?
