NATIONWIDE MOVEMENT LAUNCHED TO RAISE FUNDS FOR MEMORIAL FOR WILLIAM JENNINGS BRYAN
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On August 10, 1925, The Evening Star reports that "friends of (the late) William Jennings Bryan are considering the erection of a suitable monument to replace the wooden slab that now marks his grave in Arlington National Cemetery."
Yesterday, in Chicago, Dionessa Bryan Evans, god-daughter of "The Commoner," announced that a nationwide movement is being launched to raise funds for a proposed monument.
