"PROSPECT OF RECEIVING MILLIONS FROM GERMANY"

KAISER & FORMER GERMAN ROYALS LIVING HIGH ON THE HOG AGAIN

Doorn, Holland (JFK+50) On February 21, 1926, The Evening Star reports that "the former Kaiser*" of Germany "has dropped his role of poverty and has embarked on a series of receptions and dinners reminiscent of the old imperial days."

Apparently, the Kaiser is anticipating "receiving millions from Germany as recompense for the loss of his vast estates."

Last evening, as an example of his renewed lifestyle, the Kaiser and other members of the former royal family, attended a gala dinner sponsored by the governor of Utrecht.

*Wilhelm II (1859-1941) was born in Berlin, Germany & was the last German Emperor & King of Prussia 1888-1918.  After his abdication, the Kaiser fled to the Netherlands where he remained until his death.
