SON BORN FIVE WEEKS PREMATURE TO FIRST LADY
Falmouth, Massachusetts (JFK+50) At 1:15 p.m. August 7, 1963, Patrick Bouvier Kennedy, son of President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy, was born at Otis Air Force Base Hospital.
The baby, born five weeks premature, suffered from respiratory complications often seen in early births.
Patrick was transferred to Children's Hospital Medical Center in Boston for specialized treatment.
Agent Clint Hill, Mrs. Kennedy's secret service guard, later wrote...
"Every time I thought about baby Patrick...it nearly tore me apart."
