THOUSANDS OF KLANSMEN ON THEIR WAY TO WASHINGTON
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On September 12, 1926, The Sunday Star reports "all roads lead to the Nation's Capital today for citizens of the 'Invisible Empire', Knights of the Ku Klux Klan."
The Klansmen are coming to Washington to participate in what "is promised to be the Klan's greatest public demonstration--a monster parade on Pennsylvania Avenue tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock."
They will also be attending the third biennial convocation held at the Washington Auditorium located on 19th Street and New York Avenue.
