NO JFK NEWS TODAY!

I will discuss some historical events instead.

On December 4, 1783, General George Washington had a farewell meeting with his officers of the Continental Army.

The meeting took place in Fraunces Tavern in New York City.

On December 4, 1954, the first BURGER KING opened in Miami, Florida.

The world's second largest burger chain today was founded by James McLamore and David Edgerton.

In our visit to Sydney, Australia this past July, we discovered that BURGER KING in Australia is HUNGRY JACKS.

Here is a photograph I made at Circular Quay in Sydney.

On December 4, 1967, Bert Lahr, the actor, died.  He played the "Cowardly Lion" in "The Wizard of Oz".
