JFK ARRIVES IN WEST GERMANY
President John F. Kennedy arrived in Bonn, West Germany today for the 1st day of a 10 day European journey.
This is the 8th foreign trip for President Kennedy.
He arrived at 9:50 a.m. local time & was greeted by West German Chancellor Konrad Adenauer.
In a short speech at Wahn Airport, JFK said:
"Together we look forward to a new future. Former foes have become faithful friends. Your safety is our safety, your liberty is our liberty."

Later at Market Square in Bonn, the President remarked:
"The city of Bonn is the capital of the free world."
And at Cologne's Rathaus, JFK signed the Golden Book & said:
"I come to Cologne to see the best of the past & the most promising of the future."
JFK concluded his remarks with the old Rhemish saying "Koelle Alaaf".

LBJ MEETS WITH KOSYGIN IN GLASSBORO
President Lyndon B. Johnson met with Soviet Premier Aleksei Kosygin today in Glassboro, New Jersey.
This was the 1st meeting between a President of the United States & a Soviet Premier since Eisenhower & Khrushchev met in 1959.*
*The Glassboro Summit is considered unsuccessful because of the deep divisions over Vietnam & the Middle East.

BOSTON MAYOR ENDORSES JFK FOR SENATE
Mayor John B. Hynes of Boston, Massachusetts paid tribute to Congressman John F. Kennedy today.
Hynes called JFK one of the finest young men to come into public life in the last 20 years & gave his endorsement for his Senate candidacy.
The Mayor gave his endorsement before 500 supporters at the Parker House Hotel in Boston.*
*John B. Hynes served as Boston's mayor from 1950 to 1960.

Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr., the son of Mr. & Mrs. Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr., graduated today from Harvard College with a BA degree.
Joe Jr. majored in Government with an intended vocation in "business".
Joe participated in basketball, football, swimming & rugby & was a member of the Hasty Pudding Institute of 1770.

COOLIDGE ADOPTED INTO SIOUX TRIBE
President Calvin Coolidge will be adopted into the Sioux Tribe at Fort Yates according to The Sioux County Pioneer of North Dakota.*
*Coolidge will be given a grand ceremonial feathered head dress by Sioux chief Henry Standing Bear. The idea to make Coolidge an honorary Sioux came from Chauncey Yellow Robe, a descendant of Sitting Bull.
