PRESIDENT SPEAKS TO WOMEN PATRIOTS AT THE WHITE HOUSE
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On February 23, 1925, President Calvin Coolidge spoke to the National Women's Patriotic Organizations at the White House.
Mr. Coolidge said...
"In all generations the women have contributed greatly to keep alive the traditions of nationalism and patriotism. They are our first and most effective teachers."
The President went on to speak about war and peace.
He said...
"We can afford to limit our military and naval establishments...to assure. while able to defend ourselves, we have no intent on aggression."
