GERMAN YOUTH GROUP ORDERED TO ABSTAIN FROM 'ALL FRIVOLOUS PASTIMES'
Berlin, Germany (JFK+50) On April 19, 1925, Associated Press reports that the grand master of the Nationalistic Order of German Youths has issued an order that all group members "totally abstain and renounce all frivolous pastimes" including use of tobacco and liquor.
The grand master says...
"Every penny you can spare belongs to von Hindenburg."

The German youth movement, or Wandervogel, was founded in 1896 in Berlin & was composed of young Germans opposed to industrialization. Members were described as "idealistic, romantic & moral."
