RUSSIAN ROYAL FAMILY'S HIDDEN TREASURE TROVE FOUND BY SOVIETS IN FORMER HOME OF PRINCE
Moscow (JFK+50) On June 28, 1925, Associated Press reports that yesterday Soviet government agents "discovered a secret treasure trove...hidden in the former home of Prince Felix Youssoupoff*, member of (the) Russian royal family."
The treasure consists of "hundreds of gold, silver and platinum articles" valued at $3,000,000. The valuables were concealed within a steel vault located behind a brick wall in the home.
The valuables had been hidden by the Youssoupoff family prior to their escape from Russia after the start of the revolution.

*Felix Yusupov (1887-1967) was born in St. Petersburg, Russia & became best known for playing a part in the assassination of Rasputin & marrying Princess Irina Alexandrovna.
