"NONE MORE COURAGEOUS, MORE PRINCIPLED OR MORE HONORABLE"


5 POTUS ATTEND FUNERAL OF #41

Washington, D.C.(JFK+50) George Herbert Walker Bush*, 41st President of the United States, was eulogized today, December 5, 2018, at the Washington National Cathedral* here in the Nation's Capital.

President Bush's funeral service was attended by former POTUS... Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and current President Donald Trump.  Four former First Ladies and the current First Lady were also present. 

The 43rd POTUS and son, George W. Bush gave the last of four eulogies.  Mr. Bush held up until the very end as he said that he smiles...

"knowing that Dad is hugging Robin** and holding Mom's hand again."

Other eulogies were given by former Senator Alan Simpson (R-Wyoming), former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and presidential historian Jon Meacham.

Mr. Meacham, who is author of a recent biography of the 41st POTUS, described George H.W. Bush as "an imperfect man (who)...left us a more perfect union," while Mr. Mulroney said that 

"no occupant of the Oval Office was more courageous, more principled, or more honorable."

*Washington National Cathedral is an Episcopal church located at Wisconsin & Massachusetts Avenue in the District of Columbia.  President Theodore Roosevelt gave a ceremonial address in 1907 & the cornerstone was laid in 1912.  It is the 2nd largest church building in the U.S. 

**Robin Bush, 3 year old daughter of George H.W. & Barbara Bush, died in 1953.
