TED KENNEDY BORN IN DORCHESTER
Dorchester, Massachusetts (JFK+50) On February 22, 1932, Edward Moore 'Ted' Kennedy* was born here in Dorchester**. Ted was the last of nine children of Ambassador Joseph P. & Rose F. Kennedy. His brother, Jack, was godfather.
Ted was elected to the United States Senate in 1962 when Jack was POTUS. He would serve in the body 47 years and sponsored more than 300 pieces of legislation.
