NAZIS SURRENDER, ALLIES CELEBRATE V-E DAY
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On May 8, 1945, the Allies celebrated the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany and the end of the war in Europe. It was called "V-E Day!"
The previous day the surrender was signed by German authorities in Reims, France.
Millions of people around the world took to the streets to celebrate V-E Day, May 8, 1945.
