CHICAGO SUBURB WANTS NAME CHANGED
Hollywood, Illinois (JFK+50) On February 10, 1922, a group of citizens of the small Chicago suburb Hollywood* have started a movement "to have its name changed" according to the New York Tribune.
The reason given is that the people of this "little suburb" are very upset over the scandals** that have been reported out of the motion picture capital of the world.
City officials say that some "formal action" will be taken soon.
*Hollywood Park is listed as a Chicago suburb at www.mentalfloss.com/. Nick Greene says Hollywood Avenue was named by former California resident John Lewis Cochran.
