HARDING'S WILL TURNS UP SAFE & SOUND IN MARION BANK

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On August 19, 1923, The Sunday Star reports that President Warren G. Harding's last will and testament has been located.  The document was signed by the late president on the same evening he departed Washington, D.C. on his trip to Alaska.

Harding's secretary, George B. Christian, Jr.* learned the will had been mailed the same night Mr. Harding signed it.  The will was sent to his bank in Marion, Ohio where it now rests in a safety deposit box.

The Star reports "the will is to be turned over to Mrs. Harding when she goes to Marion to have it probated."

*George B. Christian, Jr., secretary to President Warren G. Harding, "proved his loyalty to his fallen chief by befriending Mrs. Harding in every way possible."
