"OUGHT TO HAVE SOLID NEW ENGLAND DELEGATION"

SENATOR PREDICTS COOLIDGE WILL SEEK REPUBLICAN NOMINATION FOR PRESIDENT IN 1924

Concord, New Hampshire (JFK+50) On August 13, 1923, United States Senator George H. Moses* (R-New Hampshire) issued a statement declaring that Calvin Coolidge will be a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in 1924.

Senator Moses went on in the statement to say that Mr. Coolidge "ought to have a solid New England delegation."

*George Higgins Moses (1869-1944) was born in Lubec, Maine & earned B.S. & M.S. degrees at Dartmouth College 1890-1893.  GHM served in US Senate 1918 to 1933.
