"AT 3038 N. STREET NW, GEORGETOWN, D.C"

JACKIE KENNEDY WILL MOVE INTO HARRIMAN RESIDENCE IN GEORGETOWN

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On November 28, 1963, The Evening Star reports "Mrs. John F. Kennedy and her two children (Caroline and John F. Kennedy, Jr.) will move from the White House late next week to the Georgetown* home of the Undersecretary of State and Mrs. W. Averell Harriman**."

The Harriman reisdence, located at 3038 N Street, NW., "is only a block" from the home of Mrs. Kennedy's mother, Mrs. Hugh D. Auchincloss.  The Harrimans will move into a hotel while Mrs. Kennedy and her children occupy their home.  

Mrs. Kennedy plans to spend Thanksgiving in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts.

*Georgetown is a historic neighborhood & commercial district located along the Potomac River in Washington, D.C.  It was founded in 1751 & was the home of Francis Scott Key & Senator John F. Kennedy (3307 N Street, NW).  It is also the home of Georgetown University.

**W. Averell Harriman (1891-1986) was born in New York City the son of railroad baron E.H. Harriman.  WAH served as US ambassador to the Soviet Union & U.K. before becoming Truman's Secretary of Commerce & serving as Gov of NY, 1955-1958.
