"MS. HOPPER ALREADY LOST A COUPLE THAT WAY"

MOVIE STAR TO WED UNNAMED FORMER BRITISH ARMY OFFICER

Los Angeles, California (JFK+50) On May 16, 1924, Edna Wallace Hopper*, according to the Los Angeles Examiner, "actress and exponent of the modern theory of rejuvenation**," announced her intention of marrying a "former British army officer in China" next month.

Ms. Hopper, who has previously been married twice before, would not disclose the name of her future third husband.  She said that she has "already lost a couple that way."

*Edna Wallace Hopper (1872-1959) was born in San Francisco, California & was trained for the stage in New York City.  EWH performed in comic operas & her most famous role was as Lady Holyrood in 'Forodora.'  Ms Hopper was known as the "eternal flapper."

**theory of rejuvenation assumes that aging is due to the accumulation of multiple forms of molecular damage & that rejuvenation is due to repair.
