"YOUNGER BRO 100 & SON 89 WILL JOIN FESTIVITIES"

HARLEM WOMAN CELEBRATES 114TH BIRTHDAY

New York City (JFK+50) On September 19, 1924, the Associated Press reports Mrs. Mae Urdang celebrates her 114th birthday in the Harlem* home of the Daughters of Israel.

A celebration for Mrs. Urdang will include her 'younger' brother who is 100 years of age and her 89 year old son.

The AP says Ms. Mae is a vegetarian.  She does not eat eggs and lives mostly on bread, cereal, soup and coffee.

*Harlem is located in Upper Manhattan, NYC, bounded by the Hudson River, Harlem River & 55th Street.  Its main artery is 125th Street & is home to the iconic Apollo Theatre.
