"THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WANT"

REVEREND CHARGED WITH POISONING HIS WIFE WITH ARSENIC

Mount Vernon, Illinois (JFK+50) On September 20, 1924, The International News Service reports that the Reverend Lawrence Hight, who has been charged with the murder of his wife Anna, has replied "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want."

It is believed the pastor was having a love affair with "pretty Elsie Sweetin" whose husband "died under mysterious circumstances" in late July.

Rev. Hight is charged with poisoning his wife with arsenic*.

*arsenic is very poisonous & consumed in large amounts can result in death from one to four days of ingestion.
