"WOMEN EMPLOYEES HAVE FAINTED FROM THE HEAT"

HOOVER SAYS LARGE 'GOVERNMENT-OWNED' BUILDING NEEDED FOR COMMERCE DEPT.

Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On August 21, 1925, Secretary of Commerce Herbert Hoover* emphasized the need for "a Government-owned building large enough to include all the expanded activities of the (Commerce) department."
