COL. HOUSE, FORMER WILSON ADVISER, GUEST AT COOLIDGE WHITE HOUSE
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On December 19, 1925, The Evening Star reports that former president Woodrow Wilson's "confidential agent and adviser," Col. Edward M. House*, "is a guest of President (Calvin) Coolidge in the White House."

"Although a stalwart Democrat, House's friends claim for him that he is a 'neutral' when America's international relations are concerned. He views them as an American and a citizen of the world."

During the 1920s, Col. House supported U.S. membership in the League of Nations and a Permanent Court of International Justice.
*Edward Mandell House (1858-1938) was born in Houston, Texas & after being involved in politics in Texas, moved to New York & later became a close friend & adviser to Woodrow Wilson.
