82 YEAR OLD MAN GRANTED DIVORCE AFTER 60+ YEARS
Corning, New York* (JFK+50) On April 23, 1963, Associated Press reports that Charles Woodcock, 82 years of age, has been granted a divorce.
While that does not sound unusual, the fact that he hasn't seen his wife since "she left him a few months after their marriage in 1899" is rather strange.
Mr. Woodcock was granted his divorce yesterday in the New York State Supreme Court.
*Corning is located in Steuben County, New York on the Chemung River. It was named for Erastus Corning, an Albany railroad executive who invested in the company which developed the town.
