"HER FATHER SERVED IN THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR"

108 YEAR OLD CONNECTICUT WOMAN CELEBRATES 108TH BIRTHDAY NEVER HAVING RIDDEN ON A TRAIN OR IN A CAR

Eastford, Connecticut (JFK+50) On April 30, 1926, Associated Press reports that Mrs. Sarah Bosworth Bradway is celebrating her 108th birthday anniversary today.  Mrs. Bradway's father served in the American Revolutionary War.

When she was born 108 years ago, James Monroe was President of the United States and the young nation had only one railroad, an experimental one at that.

While 108 years is a much longer than average lifespan, during that time Mrs. Bradway has never listened to a radio, nor has she ridden on a train or in an automobile.
