Berlin, Germany (JFK+50) On May 20, 1921, the Foreign Minister of Germany announced that his government "had drawn up (a) declaration on the disarmament" of his nation as called for by the Allied nations.

The Bavarian government also "abandoned its claim to the right to maintain" the Einwohnerwehr*, or security police.  Bavaria announced compliance with the Allied demand for disintegration of her armed forces.

*Einwohnerwehr, or Citizens' Defense, was a far-right paramilitary based in Bavaria.  It existed in violation of the Treaty of Versailles & its' goal was to defend Germany against communist uprisings & foreign attacks.  It was disbanded on June 29, 1921.
